As a result of the continuing COVID-19 situation, the following are emergency Pool Rules, consistent with guidelines published by the Orange County Care Agency (Environmental Health Division) for reopening of community pool facilities. Please be aware that use of the pool facility carries an inherent risk of infection with the COVID-19 virus. While the following rules may reduce the risk of infection, there is no way for the risk to be completely eliminated. Thus, USE OF THE POOL FACILITY IS AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND ALL USERS ASSUME THE RISK OF POSSIBLY CONTRACTING THE COVID-19 VIRUS. Also, please understand that the Association’s ability to keep its facilities open and to mitigate the risk related to COVID-19 is dependent upon residents working together by maintaining social distancing and
carrying and using disinfectant wipes and sprays prior to and after touching surfaces.
1. General Rules
(a) Any person who feels sick and/or has COVID-19 symptoms, including sore
throat, temperature of 100°F or above, runny nose, chills, sneezing, coughing,
shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, muscle pain, abdominal pain, loss of taste
or smell, or diarrhea is not permitted to enter or use the pool/spa facility.
(b) Pool hours are 6am to 745pm daily. Active use exercise is from 6am to 10am daily.
A pool monitor will be onsite from 10am to 745pm daily, and during that time entry into the
pool area will be by reservation. The pool monitor will oversee and supervise the
facilities. All persons must follow the pool monitor’s instructions. The pool monitor
may require persons who disobey these Rules to leave the pool facility.
(c) No guests are permitted to use the pool/spa facility — only owners, tenants, and
members of their households may use the pool/spa facility, until otherwise authorized by
the Association in writing.
(d) Any portion of the recreational facilities that is closed (e.g. the clubhouse) may
not be accessed or used.
2. Sanitization and cleaning of commonly touched surfaces in the Pool/Spa Area.
(a) Wash your hands frequently with soap and water and use hand sanitizer often.

clean and sanitize any surface in the pool/spa facility before the user comes in contact
with such surface areas. Users should wipe down surfaces and furnishings with a
disinfectant before use for their own protection, and after each use, as a courtesy to
(d) The Association has retained a janitorial service to provide sanitizing and
cleaning of the bathrooms (e.g., paper towel and soap dispensers). However, since
surfaces may immediately become contaminated when touched after cleaning, users
should wipe down all commonly touched surfaces (e.g., gates, latches, doors, knobs,
handrails, furniture, equipment, restroom fixtures, drinking fountains, light
switches, etc.) before use.
3. Social Distancing (Maintaining at least 6 feet between individuals)
(a) Users are required to maintain the minimum safe distance of 6 feet as currently
required by the CDC between themselves and others not of their household.

(c) No “gathering” of persons, other than household members, in the pool/spa facility
is permitted (i.e., social distancing must be maintained).
(d) Furniture has been removed and rearranged to provide for proper spacing.
Please do not move or rearrange any furniture to defeat social distancing or to
encourage larger groups. If furniture is moved closer together by people in the same
household, please return it to its original location before leaving.
(e) At this time, and subject to being changed, no more than 30 persons may occupy
the pool/spa facility at any one time.
(f) Use of the Spa and wader is limited to one (1) person or household at a time.
(g) All users must wear a face mask, covering the nose and mouth, at all times when
out of the water and when traveling in the common area to or from the pool.
(h) All users of the pool facility are restricted to the time reserved at the pool facility,
unless there are no other persons waiting to enter. Please follow the pool monitor’s
instructions and be courteous to other residents.
