Abby launched Blueray Aquatics in 2008 at the age of 24 when he began providing high-quality aquatics programs like personal and group swim instruction, and lifeguard and recreational services to select Orange County markets. His services soon became the most sought-after in the area, and Blueray Aquatics serviced one of the most prestigious communities in California: Emerald Bay in Laguna Beach. Under Abby’s vision for growth, the company has exponentially increased its client base, providing high-quality aquatics programs and services to multiple private and municipal aquatics facilities throughout the greater Southern California area.
John has more than 30 years of pool-building experience in the state of California. He is a C-53 Swimming Pool Builder (the California Contractors License). At the age of 21, he launched his own pool business with First Choice Pool Service, which expanded to more than 1,000 commercial/residential accounts before the business was sold. He has extensive knowledge of large, commercial aquatics facilities as well as equipment and has built hundreds of backyard pools from the ground up. In his career, he has also completed thousands of pool remodels. When it comes to equipment and daily operations, John is Blueray’s go-to for all things pool service. When Blueray and First Choice Pool Service merged in 2019, John brought his C-53 license to Blueray to help make it the only comprehensive aquatics company in Southern California.
Chris has been employed by Blueray since 2013 and possesses a wealth of experience in the aquatics industry. He is the head of age group swimming and water polo for the City of Santa Ana. As for his own swimming career, he was on the swimming and water polo team at Saddleback High School for four years, was on the swim and water polo team at Santa Ana College for two years and played water polo at Arizona State University (ASU) and masters water polo after ASU. He holds a degree in business from Santa Ana College and a degree in business from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business.
